Who is BCLandlord.com?
BCLandlord.com is a place where smaller BC residential landlords can discuss the problems with the BC Residential Tenancy Act (RTA) and the Residential Tenancy Office (RTO). Any Landlord who has dealt with the RTO is aware of how the Act provides very little protection for a landlord and allows tenants to take advantage of rules and delays to take advantage of their situation. We are not saying that all tenants are bad people but simply that the rules allow Tenants the opportunity to take advantage of Landlords much more that the Landlord to take advantage of a Tenant. The RTO has also allowed the Tenant to be able to dictate how and when a Landlord can renovate their own properties.
